Anthony Martial scored on his debut as Manchester United climbed into second place after a 3-1 Premier League win over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Saturday night.

Martial scores brilliant goal on debut to wrap up win
Martial, a £36million recruit from Monaco, replaced Juan Mata on 65 minutes and wrapped the game up for the hosts after weaving his way into the box and firing low under Simon Mignolet.
After a tepid first half, which saw neither side create any real chances, United stepped up the ante after the break and it was a training ground move which saw them break the deadlock against a disappointing Liverpool.
Daley Blind smashed home a well-worked free-kick on 49 minutes before Ander Herrera scored from the spot with 20 minutes to go after he was fouled in the box by Joe Gomez.
Christian Benteke hit a fabulous consolation with an acrobatic bicycle kick, before Martial capped a fine debut with a brilliant solo goal late on.
On a day when former United hero Cristiano Ronaldo scored five and became Real Madrid's all-time leading Primera Liga goalscorer, United's attack was spearheaded by Marouane Fellaini.
And it was the Belgian, in for the injured Wayne Rooney, who had the only real chance of the first half on seven minutes, but he could only fire his shot high over the bar from outside the box after Simon Mignolet's poor pass.
That effort was the best of a drab first half, which United dominated with 61 per cent possession, but could not convert into chances.
Ashley Young replaced Memphis Depay at half-time and within three minutes the winger had the Old Trafford crowd on their feet when he skipped past Nathaniel Clyne near the byline. The Liverpool full-back gave away a free-kick and from that set-piece United took the lead.
Juan Mata, from wide on the right, cleverly pulled the free-kick back to the edge of the box and there was the onrushing Daley Blind to control a left-footed finish into the top corner on 49 minutes.
David de Gea, making his first start of the season after signing a new contract, tipped a Danny Ings' effort around the post moments after the restart.
And Liverpool were then denied twice in the space of a few seconds. Firstly Martin Skrtel's header was blocked on the line and then Blind blocked Roberto Firmino's goal-bound effort.
But United quickly reverted to attack and Gomez's rash challenge on Herrera left referee Michael Oliver with no option but to point to the spot and Herrera picked himself up to finish emphatically to make it 2-0.
Christian Benteke pulled a goal back with a brilliant overhead kick on 85 minutes, but United restored their two-goal advantage after sub Anthony Martial (86) turned Skrtel inside out and fired low into the net.
