AFC Champions League: Last 16 teams finalised

As the group stages of the 2016 AFC Champions League drew to a close on Wednesday, the 16 nations who will battle it out for the trophy were finalised.

FC Tokyo, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Lokomotiv and Al Nasr were just some of the teams who had to wait until the final round of action to secure their passage into the knockout phase.

The tournament will definitely see a new winner crowned, following the elimination of last year’s champions from China, Guangzhou Evergrande.

The first leg of the round of 16 will take place on May 17-18, with the return legs following a week later.
