Justin Kluivert has signed his first professional contract with Ajax Amsterdam on Friday after impressing manager Frank De Boer with his performances within the academy.
The son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert put pen to paper on a three-year deal that ties him to the Eredivisie side until the summer of 2019.
The 16-year-old forward admits he's keen to repay the faith the club has shown in him and has already targeted a spot in the first team after committing himself to the club.
"I have played now for nine years at Ajax and that means a lot to me," he told the club's official website. "It is a reward for everything I've done so far.
"My goal is to be a starting player in the A1 next year. I want to be important for the team.
"After that I hope to move quickly towards the first team. I want to play in the Arena."
Kluivert has already made a number of cameo appearances for the Ajax's U19 side and UEFA youth squad, scoring twice in three substitute appearances.
