Hiddink hails Fabregas performance

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink felt midfielder Cesc Fabregas produced one of his best performances of the season as the London outfit clinched a 4-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 28-year-old bagged three assists in the clash with the Cherries and in the process moved third in the Premier League’s all-time assists rankings, one ahead of Manchester United stalwart Wayne Rooney (94).

And Hiddink heaped praise on the Spain international in his post-match interview, saying: “Cesc was enjoying it very much and he’s one of the few players who has this vision, very fast.

“He knows when he’s on the ball he can execute what he’s thinking and creating. There’s not many players who can do that.

“And we know when, we practice that, we know when he’s on the ball that we have running players to get his very, very fast vision play effective.

“And that’s important. There were some decent games, but this is one of Cesc’s best.”

Fabregas has four goals and four assists to his name in the Premier League this season, making 29 starts and a further four appearances as a substitute.
