FC Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has refused to rule out a return to Ajax Amsterdam after being linked with a move to his former club.
The 32-year-old remains a firm fan favorite at the Amsterdam Arena due to his prolific spell at the club, where he scored 105 goals in three seasons.
Huntelaar still has one year left running on his current deal with the Royal Blues, but after a struggling for form within a new system in the team this season, the Netherlands international admits he’ll consider leaving should an offer come his way.
“I have not made a final decision,” Huntelaar told Der Westen. “But I am considering it. Right now, only FC Schalke 04 counts for me.”
Huntelaar has scored 122 goals in 211 appearances in all competitions for Schalke since joining from AC Milan in 2010.
