Ronaldo assures fans he’s doing fine

Cristiano Ronaldo has allayed fears over an injury sustained in Real Madrid’s victory over Villarreal on Wednesday.

The star striker gave fans a scare when he limped off late in the La Liga game with what appeared to be a muscle injury in his right leg.

Real may have been coasting to a 3-0 victory at the time, but the sight of the Portugal forward slowly making his way off the field threatened to overshadow their performance.

Thankfully, Ronaldo appears to be none the worse for the wear, after taking to his Instagram account to assure his fans he was doing just fine.

“All good. Thanks for your support,” he posted, along with a smiling selfie:

All good. Thanks for your support ???⚽️?✌️

Real Madrid also confirmed that Ronaldo was expected to have medical tests as a precaution.

The Spanish giants travel to local rivals Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, as the La Liga title race nears its conclusion. Real are one point behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid with four matches left.

They are also in the last four of the Champions League, and will play Manchester City in the best of two legs starting next week.
