Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels has revealed that he has set himself a deadline for deciding his future with the club.
The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season, though he has an option to extend his stay should he wish.
The defender has been consistently linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side, though, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Barcelona all credited with an interest in the centre-back.
However, Hummels has vowed to keep his suitors, Dortmund included, waiting a little longer yet, despite admitting that his deliberations on the matter are costing him sleep.
“I’ve set a date [for my decision], but I’m keeping it to myself,” he told Sky Deutschland after Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal 3-0 semi-final win over Hertha Berlin. “It’s costing me half an hour before bed every night.”
Dortmund will meet Bundesliga leaders and arch rivals FC Bayern München in a mouth-watering final at the Olympiastadion on May 21.
