With their eye on the final, the English side will first have to make their way past the Yellow Submarine, who made relatively light work of Czech side Sparta Prague in the quarter-finals, going on to win 6-3 on aggregate.
Sevilla are looking for their third consecutive win in the competition and fifth title overall after winning back-to-back finals in 2005/06 and 2006/07, and again in 2013/14 and 2014/15. The Spanish side are real Europa League pedigree but face a tough task against Shakhtar.
The Ukrainian giants cruised to a 4-0 home win in the second leg of their quarter-final against Sporting Braga of Portugal after claiming a 2-1 win in the first leg, and should provide healthy competition to the incumbent Spaniards.
The first legs are set to take place on the 28th of April and the second legs on the 5th of May ahead of the final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland, on the 18th of May.
