City face Real Madrid, Atleti take on Bayern

Manchester City have been drawn against Real Madrid for the Champions League semi-finals, while Bayern Munich were paired with Atletico Madrid.

City overcame Paris Saint-Germain thanks to a 1-0 win in the second leg after drawing 2-2 in the first leg in France, and will make their first appearances in the last four against the 10-time European champions.

Los Blancos had star forward Cristiano Ronaldo to thank after his second-leg hattrick overcame a two-goal deficit against Wolfsburg.

Atletico Madrid overcame reigning champions Barcelona with a thrilling performance in an all-Spanish quarter-final, and have been rewarded with a clash against German giants Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga leaders were given a run for their money against Portuguese side Benfica in the previous round, but a 2-2 draw in the second leg proved to be enough as Arturo Vidal’s early goal in the first leg separated the two sides.

The first legs are set to take place on the 26th and 27th of April and the second legs on the 3rd and 4th of May, before the final at San Siro in Milan on the 28th of May.
