Rugani: I’ve made a splash at Juve

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is delighted to be getting some minutes under his belt, and says that he is "enjoying every moment of this run in the side".

The 21-year-old Italy youth international is regarded as one for the future in Turin, but has been given his chance to impress in Serie A with starts in Juve's last four league matches, bringing his total appearances up to 12 for the season.

"It's a source of great satisfaction to be selected by the boss and I look to repay his faith in me by giving my very best on the pitch," the former Empoli youngster told Sky Sports.

"At a club like Juventus, full of stars who are regularly rewriting football history, it's necessary to make a positive impact from the start.

"I feel like I've done that now and, with the help of my team-mates, I'm contributing more and more to this side."

The Bianconeri are renowned for their rock-solid defence, and Rugani is happy to sing the praises of his team-mates.

"They're three unbelievable defenders, who have the perfect mix of attributes," he added of his more experienced countrymen.

"You have the phenomenal concentration levels of [Andrea] Barzagli, the physicality and grit of [Giorgio] Chiellini and in [Leonardo] Bonucci you've a strong character and great technical ability to build up the play from the back."
