Heerenveen defender Kenneth Otigba has denied that he will leave the Eredivise side for England at the end of the campaign.
The towering centre-back who recently pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria has been linked with Championship sides Middlesbrough and Derby County.
Otigba claims he hasn't spoken to any of the clubs directly but his agent made him aware that there's interest around Europe for his services.
"I have had no contact with the teams, neither SC Heerenveen. I heard the news from an agent, and he said to me that there is some interest," the 23-year old told allnigeriasoccer.
'The Beast', as he's affectionately known in the Eredivisie admits he is in no rush to leave De Superfriezen and believes that if he continues to improve at the Abe Lenstra Stadium – he'll eventually earn a move at a bigger club.
“At this moment I am concentrating on SC Heerenveen. I know if I do my job well, one day I will get a chance to make a step forward. But I know the only thing I have to do is to work hard.”
