Jason Puncheon scored his first goal of the season, cutting in from the left to score from 20 yards and lift Palace 10 points above the relegation zone as well as securing their first three points of the year.
Both teams had canceled each other out until Puncheon's long-range effort put Palace in front in the 68th minute. The game then opened up but Norwich just couldn't find a way past a resolute home defence.
Norwich's Robbie Brady hit an ambitious 40-yard strike early on but the effort was well off target, before Matt Javis then fired a shot which caught Scott Dann right in the face.
Norwich were trying to impose themselves and Jonny Howson fired a shot high and wide in the 15th minute.
However, Palace went close soon after as Pape Souare's cross into the box fell to Pucheon, but the winger's scuffed shot deflected away off Martin Olsson.
Dieumerci Mbokani then came to the rescue for Norwich, heading the ball clear from under the bar after John Ruddy failed to deal with a corner.

Jarvis chested the ball down in the box and was barged over by Damien Delaney but referee Michael Oliver ignored City's appeals for a spot-kick.
Dann then blocked a goalbound Steven Naismith effort as Norwich knocked on the door.
However, the Canaries suffered a blow when Timm Klose had to go off in the 39th minute with a knee injury that he suffered going in for a tackle, for which he was also booked, with Sebastien Bassong coming on for the Swiss defender.

Souare's block then denied Brady, before Ruddy kept out sub Wilfried Zaha's shot at the other end.
Palace's Joe Ledley came on for Puncheon in the 75th minute, while Norwich's Nathan Redmond replaced Jarvis.
