Former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko believes that incoming manager Antonio Conte has the right mentality to adapt to the Premier League.
The Ukrainian striker made the move from Serie A to Stamford Bridge himself in 2006, and although the former Milan striker struggled to replicate his best form in England, he expects Conte to be a success.
"It's a fine challenge, both for Chelsea and Conte," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "The Coach has a strong mentality, he has created his own style and you can recognise his teams a mile away.
"I think Chelsea really liked his professional attitude. Anyone who changes country knows they have to be flexible, because things that go down well in Italy don't necessarily work in England.
"Conte seems to me well-prepared and intelligent. He has the right mentality to do well in the Premier League too."
The Italian tactician, currently in charge of his country's national team, will no doubt be interested in how the Blues perform in Wales against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
