Arsenal are reportedly close to completing the transfer of Samuel Chukwueze, a Nigerian under-17 striker.
According to allnigeriansoccer.com, the English Premier League club is determined to bring the youngster into their ranks but have hit a stumbling block over his transfer fee.
“There was a little bit of hitch, at the end of the day it was resolved if and only if Diamond Academy agree,” a source close to the Nigeria U17 international told the publication.
“Arsenal want to pay Chukwueze’s transfer fee when he is 18 , Diamond felt it was too far for them. But they should agree.”
The Gunners are not the only club interested in the striker, who has also been linked with a possible move to Red Bull Salzburg as well as German Bundesliga clubs.
Chukwueze, though, is keen to join Arsenal, once again linking up with team-mate Kelechi Nwakali who last month signed a deal to join Arsenal on a five-year contract in the summer.
