West Ham manager Slaven Bilic believes Dimitri Payet's recent call up to the France squad will help lure other big name players to the club.
Bilic claims the 29-year old proved many pundits and French supporters, who thought he was committing career suicide by joining the Hammers, wrong.
"Maybe some of the French players or press who knew how good he was were thinking, 'that is it, no chance with the national team or anything. Okay you are going to be living in London at a good club and make good money, and that is it," he said in a press conference.
"But Payet has raised his game by playing for West Ham and that can change things.
"Because of him and because of more players, they should think now that if they are going to West Ham it is a step up in their career if anything."
Payet has been in sublime form this season scoring 11 goals and registering 11 assist in 30 games since his £12million move from Olympique de Marseille.
