Lucas Moura claims he would prefer playing alongside his compatriot Neymar over Barcelona’s five-time Ballon d’Or winning superstar Lionel Messi.
After securing their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 triumph, it was announced that star striker Zlatan Ibrahaimovic won’t be renewing his current deal at the end of the season and it wasn’t too long before rumours started brewing of a host of high profile forwards potentially being lined up as the Swede’s replacement.
When asked about who he’d prefer to see replace Ibra, the Brazilian winger said he’d favour his compatriot Neymar above any other player, despite the two playing in the same position.
“Hosting Messi at Paris? Yes, why not. Or Benzema or Lewandowski, but I prefer Neymar. It would be good for me and for the club, even if he plays in the same position as me,” Lucas told Canal+.
With the Champions League, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue still to play for, Les Parisiens are fighting for a possible quadruple this season and Moura feel’s it’s a club he’d never leave for any other European side.
“My dream is to stay my whole career at PSG, win many titles, then back to Sao Paulo,” he concluded.
