Leandro Bacuna looks set to jump off the sinking ship at Aston Villa admitting he would be open to a move back to the Eredivisie in the summer.
The Curacao international joined Villa from FC Groningen in 2013 after earning a reputation as a robust winger with an eye for goal in the Eredivisie.
However, since his move to the Premier League, he’s been converted into a right-back where he has struggled to make an impact this campaign.
With Villa looking increasingly likely to be playing their football in the Championship next term, the Dutch-born winger is keen to plan his next step as he targets European football.
“Within the next two years, I try to make my next step,” the 24-year old told Dutch broadcasterNOS.
“What it’s going to be, I do not know at this time. But I want to grow in two years. It does not necessarily have to be in England.
“Back to the Eredivisie? That would just be Ajax or PSV, I think.
“They play Champions League football almost every year, if I have a chance to go there then why not?”
