Australian captain Mile Jedinak has an injury cloud hanging over him as they prepare to face Jordan on Tuesday.
The Socceroos are sitting at the top of Group B in the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers, but Jordan remain their biggest threat as they are just two points behind the Australians.
Now, head coach Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Australia could go into to crucial clash without their talismanic captain.
“He’s still not 100%, he got a bit of a niggle,” Postecoglou told The Guardian.
“It’s nothing serious, but because the games are so close we’ll have a look at him closely. The plan is he’ll train tomorrow, and if he gets through training he’ll be fine. He’s the only one who’s got a little bit of a doubt.”
Australia are riding high on confidence after coming off a 7-0 demolition of Tajikistan last week.
