Former Marseille midfielder Bruno Cheyrou believes Paris Saint-Germain start the clash against his old side as favourites, but is expecting a great match.
Cheyrou spent the 2004/05 season on loan at Marseille from Liverpool and recalls the special atmosphere created by the games between the top sides in Ligue 1 and is worried by the attacking potential PSG have available to them.
"Cavani, Ibrahimovic or Di María, if they want to score goals they can score against any team, against any defence, so of course it will be a difficult game," Cheyrou told The Ligue 1 Show on beIN SPORTS.
"For the back four, they need to solve the problems more from a collective point of view instead of individually playing one on one. That would be too difficult for them.
"In England we say double marking. I think it will be very important to do that kind of tactical play against players like Di María or Ibrahimovic or Cavani.
"Of course De Ceglie is not really used to playing in the Marseille back four and in Ligue 1, but if Cabella or Alessandrini maybe – if they can play in front of him – it will be easier to defend.
"First of all, Paris Saint-Germain have maybe got the best midfield in Europe, and maybe in the world. Not individually but because they are very complimentary in their roles.
"It will be a very tough game for the midfield of Marseille and of course Lassana Diarra will be an example for all of the Marseille team because he is the kind of player with experience, who can show the way in terms of aggression and in terms of serenity as well at times when Marseille are in possession."
