Out-of-favour VfL Wolfsburg striker Nicklas Bendtner has been slapped with a fine after arriving at Monday’s training session 45 minutes late.
The Denmark international looks destined to depart the club at the end of the current campaign, and his latest infraction will presumably see his first-team involvement further restricted.
Bendtner has not featured for the Wolves since starting in the 3-0 Bundesliga defeat to FC Schalke 04 on 6 February, with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench this term.
Commenting on the incident, Bendtner told Bild: “I just slept in and didn’t hear my alarm. It’s my mistake.”
The 28-year-old, who has over a year left on his current contract, has been fined £1,770 for arriving late to training on Monday.
