Dodo targets Serie A title

Basketball 3-pointer: High school athlete with a disability hits shot of a lifetime

Inter full-back Dodo believes the current squad has the quality to compete for the Serie A title following their promising start to the new campaign.

The Nerrazzuri have won five, draw one and lost one of their opening seven matches and currently sit just two points below the only team that have beaten them so far this season, table-toppers Fiorentina.

The Roma loanee believes Inter's off-season acquisitions have turned the club into genuine title contenders and is confident they will be one of the teams challenging for the title when the season reaches its climax.

"This campaign has started in a different way [to previous seasons]," Dodo told Football Italia.

"We’re second, and we want to fight. We can stay near the top and play until the end. The team is very strong compared to last year, it’s more physical and we have a lot of qualities and options.

"This year we have a lot of options up front, more players than last year. This is a squad equipped to battle until the end."
