Benatia linked with Roma return

Bayern München defender Medhi Benatia could be headed back to Roma after just one-and-a-half seasons in Germany, according to reports.
Such a move would come as a surprise given the way Benatia left the Giallorossi to join the Bavarians in August 2014.
Upon his departure, the Morocco international revealed Roma sold him because the club needed the money, the comments infuriated club president James Pallotta, who responded by saying Benatia had been sold for being a "poisonous liar".
Benatia, though, has struggled with injuries during his time at the Allianz Arena, having made just 17 league appearances since his move to the Bundesliga.
However, new reports from Il Corriere dello Sport suggest Benatia was approached by his former club during the off-season, and that both are said to be open to a reunion.
The Italian publication added that Bayern's asking price may prove to be an obstacle, given they parted with €26 million to sign him a little over a year ago.
