Juventus forward Alvaro Morata has allayed fears that his injury is serious, and could return against Inter Milan next weekend.
The Spain international left the field on a stretcher during La Roja's 4-0 win over Luxembourg on Friday, and it was initially thought that he could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
"Neither one month nor four… I'm working hard to be ready for Sunday," the 22-year-old said on Twitter, referring to the Serie A clash at San Siro.
The Bianconeri provided further details of the former Real Madrid striker's injury, as they look to rediscover form following a poor start to their domestic campaign that has left them 12th in the Serie A standings.
"Alvaro Morata has today returned from international duty and the Juventus medical staff has confirmed the diagnosis of their Spanish counterparts: a bruised right leg with no evidence of fractures," the club said.
"The striker's condition will continue to be monitored over the coming days in order to assess the best course of action for his return to training."
