Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes the good rapport within the team has been the catalyst for their superb Premier League campaign.

The Italian-born tactician says the first-team regular and the supporting cast are pulling in the same direction, a factor that has played a crucial role in their success this term.

The Foxes extended their lead at the summit of the table with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a Leonardo Ulloa winner against Norwich City on Saturday.

“Everybody is happy because the team is playing well and is top of the league,” Ranieri told the club’s official website.

“Everyone would like to play, but it’s not possible. They believe in the project and they believe their teammates are playing well.

“For me it’s important to believe in them because, when I need some changes, they are ready. For this reason I’ve said many times we have a fantastic dressing room.”

Although the performance was not their most convincing, Ranieri cares more about the result than the display.

“You can’t always play well,” he added. “I’d sign today if we can win 11 matches from tonight without playing well. It’s not important now whether we play well or not – it’s important we take points.”
