BVB Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is confident the Bundesliga side will oust Tottenham Hotspur in this year’s Europa League round of 16.
The two teams were drawn against each other at an event held in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
Both clubs are sitting second in their respective leagues after putting a string of impressive performances together and are predicted to be very evenly matched for their European showdown next month.
However, the 2014 World Cup winner insists they have a good chance of getting one over their Premier League opponents if they play to the best of their ability.
“This is a super draw, exactly what we imagine for the Europa League and what we wanted after Porto,” said Hummels. “We are very happy. I see good chances on getting through but we will have to deliver.”
Dortmund progressed to the last-16 after seeing off Porto 3-0 over two legs, while Tottenham thumped Italian side Fiorentina by 4-1 courtesy of the 3-0 hammering they gave the Italians at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.
