Liverpool v Manchester City

Liverpool and Manchester City will be vying for the Capital One Cup title when they meet in the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The Reds are looking for their first piece of silverware since winning the League Cup in 2011/12 and could win the tournament for a record ninth time.

City, meanwhile, have won the League Cup three times, the last being in 2013/14 when they beat Sunderland 3-1.

Liverpool beat Stoke City on penalties to reach the final, while City overcame a first-leg defeat to beat Everton 4-3 over two legs.

Jurgen Klopp’s men come into the game off the back of a 1-0 win over Augsburg in the Europa League.

The German is expected to field a similar line-up on Sunday, with Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino all expected to start. Joe Allen and Dejan Lovren have returned to training and could be available.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side snapped a three-game losing streak in all competitions with a 3-1 win over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League last-16 on Wednesday.

Wilfried Bony is a doubt for the trip to Wembley, but Jesus Navas could return, but the game comes too soon for Fabian Delph.

Kevin de Bruyne and Samir Nasri are both still sidelined.
