AFC Cup week 1: Top 5 East Zone goals

Following the completion of Tuesday and Wednesday’s AFC Cup match day one matches, we have put together a video clip of the best goals scored.

Even though Ayeyawady United lost 8-1 to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in Group H, Thiha Zaw scored a cracking goal on Wednesday with a long-range shot in the top corner.

Safiq Rahim scored a hat-trick in the same game for JDT and one of his goals has been included in our top five.

The next goal was scored by Marcelo Fernandes, who found the back of the net in Yangon United’s 2-1 win over South China in Group G with a cracking low shot from just outside the box to leave the goalkeeper well beaten.

Hafiz Kamal, meanwhile, scored with a header from a cross on the left in the 59th minute to get the equaliser for Selangor in their Group E clash with Ceres-La Salle FC on Tuesday.

Our final inclusion came by virtue of Hafiz Sujad, who scored the second goal with a low diving header off a cross from the fight that helped his side Tampines Rovers to a 4-0 win over Sheikh Jamal All Gol in Group E.
