Chelsea legend Gianfranco is eager to bring Blues captain John Terry to the Middle East when the 35-year-old leaves the London club at the end of the season.
Zola is currently in charge of Qatari club Al Arabi.
Terry announced a the end of January that he will leave Chelsea at the end of the season, although the club has hinted that talks over a new deal with one of their greatest servants is still ongoing.
“When we talk about John Terry, we are talking about a big player, a big name and I believe a player of this stature is not of interest only for the team, but also for the whole league,” Zola said.
“The Qatari league is a league that wants to grow bigger so I believe there might be interest not only from Al-Arabi but from all the league.”
Should Terry leave England, he will have a host of suitors for his signature, and the former England skipper has already been linked with moves to China and the USA.
