Juventus and Napoli will reportedly do battle in the summer transfer window for the services of Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Davy Klaassen.
The 22-year-old, whose contract expires in 2019, was the subject of a transfer bid from Napoli in the January transfer window, but the offer was swiftly rejected by the Eredivisie giants.
Juventus are also known to be long-term admirers of the promising youngster, having tracked the Netherlands international since 2010.
While Ajax made it clear in no uncertain terms that they would not sanction Klaassen’s move away from the club in January, it is not yet clear whether they would be willing to enter negotiations at the end of the current campaign.
A potential fee of €15m could be enough to tempt de Godenzonen to do business, a prospect that Klaassen’s agent, Soren Lerby, has reportedly discussed with Napoli Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli.
Klaassen has made 19 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, bagging seven goals and seven assists in the process.
