Arda Turan’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, has rubbished reports that the Barcelona midfielder received an offer from Beijing Guoan that would have seen him earn €100 million over five seasons.
Turan moved to Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for €34 million in July last year, but only made his debut for the Catalans in January when the club’s transfer ban was lifted.
Reports have indicated that the Beijing club are willing to pay the 29-year-old €20million per season over five years, but Bulut has said that no clubs from China have made an offer or even approached Turan.
"It is not true that Arda has received any offer [from China]," Bulut told Mundo Deportivo. "Arda is not looking at leaving now, or in the summer [transfer window]."
Clubs in the Chinese Super League have been on a spending spree of late and have signed a number of high-profile players that were plying their trade in Europe, including Chelsea star Ramires, Liverpool target Alex Teixeira, and Atletico Madrid’s Jackson Martinez.
