Milan close in on El Ghazi deal

AC Milan have stepped up the chase for Anwar El Ghazi after Liverpool reportedly expressed interest in the Ajax winger.

El Ghazi has been a long-term target for the Italian giants but it is believed his development was best suited by staying at the Amsterdam Arena.

The Netherlands international, who has scored nine Eredivisie goals this season, is priced at around £8m and Rossoneri head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has given the green light to sanction the transfer in the off-season.

Tuttosport claim that Milan scouts watched him in action for Ajax against Feyenoord this weekend and that the teenager has already agreed the terms on a five-year deal at the San Siro.

With a fee not yet agreed, the Reds could yet make a late attempt to sign the explosive winger.
