Ilkay Gundogan has hinted that he could yet stay at BVB Dortmund as speculation about his future continues to rumble on.
The Germany international has been linked with a Westfalenstadion exit for the last two seasons, despite penning an extension last year.
His new contract expires at the end of next term and the midfielder now has to decide whether to sign another new deal or force a transfer, but Gundogan insists he is relaxed about his future.
“There will be decision at one point, but it depends on various factors,” he told Sky Germany. “Time will bring a decision, which hopefully will be very fair for everyone involved.
“We have nothing to hide, and we’ll announce something when we have something to announce.
“It’s difficult to set yourself a deadline, and you also have to go with your gut, but I want to satisfy those involved and I also want to avoid the situation we had last year.
“I enjoy playing football here, the lads are great, the coaching staff too. A lot speaks for BVB, but like I’ve said, we’ll see what happens.”
