Pep Guardiola declared himself 'very proud to be Bayern München's coach' after steering his side to their 1,000th Bundesliga win on Saturday.
The Bavarians reached the impressive milestone after cruising to a 4-0 victory over 1. FC Köln on Saturday, with Arjen Robben, Arturo Vidal, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller getting their names on the scoresheet.
The result means Bayern's winning start remains intact, following ten consecutive wins in the Bundesliga this season.
"One thousand wins – that's sensational," Guardiola told the club's official website. "Compliments to the fans, the players, the former coaches and all the staff at Bayern München who have contributed to this.
"We coaches know how hard it is to win one match, so winning 1,000 shows how big this club is.
"I'm very proud to be Bayern Munich's coach."
Guardiola, whose Bayern contract expires at the end of the current campaign, has yet to give any indication whether or not he intends to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena beyond the end of the 2015/16 season.
