Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has said that he is very excited by the four signings that the club has made during the January transfer window.
Jonjo Shelvey, Henri Saivet, Andros Townsend and Seydou Doumbia have all been brought in to strengthen the squad and help the Magpies move away from the relegation zone.
Coloccini says all the players brought in will bring something new and exciting to the squad and he looks forward to working with them but he knows that everyone will need to make them feel welcome to get the best out of them.
"We needed to strengthen the squad and they are very good players who will add quality to the team," he told his club's official website.
"However, it is important we help them. We cannot expect them to come in and do it all. We have to help them be a success here at Newcastle."
The club have been flirting with the relegation zone all season and will hope these new signings can help them start climbing the table.
