Watford defender Sebastian Prodl was satisfied with their 0-0 draw against Chelsea, although he conceded that the Blues had the better chances at Vicarage Road on Wednesday.
The Hornets will have goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes to thank for their point, as the Brazilian goalkeeper denied the Blues a winner on numerous occasions, but the Austrian defender was pleased with the team's efforts.
"We are happy about the point and about the performance," Prodl said. "The whole team worked very hard for that result, maybe we were too afraid to attack sometimes but in the end we are happy.
"In the end we were a little bit lucky because Chelsea had some good chances, but we have a great goalkeeper and Gomes saved some good chances, so I think it was a well deserved result.
"We know he's a great goalkeeper, he shows us every week and in every training session. To be honest, because we see him in training we expect this kind of goalkeeping in games as well, so of course we are very happy about his saves and his performance today."
Watford are back up to ninth in the Premier League standings with four points from their last two matches, but the former Werder Bremen stopper insists that they will not get too complacent until top-flight safety, at the very least, has been secured.
"We feel very confident, but we don't want to feel comfortable," he added. "It's a good situation at the moment, but we have to be careful because the Premier League is very hard
"We have to take points from our next games, otherwise we can get problems in the end and that's not what we are working for in the last months. We have to concentrate and be focused in the next games to get the points and to be safe as soon as possible."
