Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been added to Juventus' Champions League squad for the last-16 tie against Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old missed most of the first half of the season due to various injuries, including a serious knee problem.
However, he finally regained full fitness at the start of January and has impressed on his return to the team.
Although he is currently out injured with a thigh problem, Juventus have decided to include him their 23-man squad at the expense of Mario Lemina with the club confirming on their website that his latest recovery is on track.
"On the injury front, there was good news for Kwadwo Asamoah who returned to Barcelona for a check-up following his knee surgery in December," a report said.
"Dr. Ramon Cugat, who performed the operation, said he was extremely satisfied with the progress made by the midfielder and gave him the green light to start running again within the next two weeks. Further tests will be conducted in the next month to ascertain his exact return date."
The Italian giants will face Bayern in the first-leg of the Champions League final at Juventus Stadium on February 23 before the return leg on March 16.
