Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu believes Lionel Messi will finish his career at the Nou Camp amidst rumours he could leave the club.
The Argentine's current contract with the Catalans is set to expire in 2018 and he has been linked with a move away from Spain, with reports in the local media suggesting he could decide to move to the Premier League in the near future.
Bartomeu has rubbished these rumours and says he cannot see the 28-year-old ever leaving the Nou Camp, insisting Messi will retire at Barcelona.
"Leo and his father said they don't imagine playing at another club than Barcelona," he is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo.
"The relationship with the family is very good. We are not in the negotiation phase yet, when the time comes it will be presented. He has contract for the next three seasons."
