Montpellier have confirmed the appointment of Frederic Hantz as manager as they look to steer clear of relegation trouble.
The embattled Ligue 1 outfit are currently just two points clear of the relegation zone in the French top-flight.
La Paillade have been without a manger since Rolland Courbis' departure in December following a disastrous start to the season.
Pascal Baills and Bruno Martini were placed in charge following Courbis' resignation, but the duo have failed to win a league game in January.
The club have now announced the appointment of former Bastia boss Hantz, who was presented and took his first training session on Wednesday.
The 49-year-old's first game in charge is against Ajaccio away from home on Saturday.
