Bordeaux boss Willy Sagnol has confirmed that the club will not be signing out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu in the January transfer window.
Les Girondins are keen on bringing in a replacement goalkeeper following a serious injury to number one Cedric Carrasso on Saturday.
Sirigu, meanwhile, has found himself on the fringes at Les Parisiens following the off-season arrival of German stopper Kevin Trapp.
However, Sagnol has ruled out a move for the Italy international, but admitted that the club will keep looking at other options.
"Sirigu? We inquired, but he will not come to Bordeaux. We will explore other avenues," Sagnol said after his side's defeat to Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue on Tuesday.
