Johansson undergoes hip surgery

Bremen have confirmed that forward Aron Johannsson will be sidelined for several weeks after undergoing surgery on a hip problem.
The United States international, who joined the club from AZ Alkmaar during the off-season, has been sidelined since September after picking up a suspected groin injury.
However, further scans revealed a nerve irritation in his right hip and the club decided to use non-surgical treatment in an attempt to get the 24-year-old back to full fitness.
The injury has shown no signs of improvement, though, and the club opted for surgery to get the player pain-free once again.
"We have exhausted all non-surgical treatment options and have not been able to reach a sustainable analgesia," club doctor Philip Heitmann told the club's official website.
A statement on the website read: "The Green & Whites will be without the 24-year-old for the next weeks."
