Brazilian Defender David Luiz has opened up about his positive attitude and Paris Saint-Germain's impressive campaign thus far.
Luiz has confessed he's the happiest man right now. He told 'This is Paris' on beIN sport: "I try to enjoy my life, because I have a great life, so I try to be happy every day." 'Big Geezer' also believes being happy comes with responsibilities.
Those responsibilities lie at the heart of the most consistent defense not only in France, where PSG have conceded just 9 goals in 21 games, but also in Europe, where they conceded just one goal in the Champions league group stage, equalling the competition's record.
Luiz credits the impressive showing by his side, to team work and high levels of confidence.
"Of course I like the team to be recognized like this," he beamed. "Also because our team is a very attacking side that likes to play with the ball and score a lot of goals, so this shows that we're doing a great job in defense too. And not just the defenders and the goalkeeper, but everyone, and I think that's why we're doing an amazing job."
The Parisians have opened a 21-point gap between themselves and second-placed Monaco in the Ligue 1 standings
"I think we made a great start and our opponents weren't so good, which is why there's a big gap in the standings," Luiz added.
"We have the confidence now, which is good for us, but we are keeping our feet on the ground because we have to take it game by game. It's never easy to win a match of football, or a trophy."
