Barcelona right-back Douglas is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the year with the foot injury he sustained against Villanovense on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old fractured a bone in his right foot during the Copa del Rey first-leg clash at Romero Cuerda, which ended in a goalless draw.
Douglas was handed his first start of the season for Luis Enrique's side, having made just one substitute appearance previously, and played the entire 90 minutes of the cup-tie.
However, it came at a cost as the Brazilian is now set to spend the next two months on the treatment table, ruling him out of the Clasico against Real Madrid on November 21.
A statement on the Catalan club's official website read: "Barca returned to training on Thursday with news of the loss of Douglas, who, tests have shown, fractured the scaphoid tarsal in his right foot. He is expected to be out for eight weeks."
