South Korea booked their place in the semi-finals of the AFC U23 Championship following their win over Jordan in Doha in Saturday.
The Asian giants edged Jordan 1-0 at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in front of a modest crowd.
Jordan were under pressure in the opening stanza, with South Korea pressing forward with attacking prowess.
The South Koreans were then rewarded for their efforts in the 23rd minute via the boot of Moon Chang -Jin.
A curling cross from Kwon Chang-hoon was well controlled by Ryu Seung-woo, who in laid the ball off to Chan-Jin who drilled the ball into the bottom corner.
Jordan came out firing in the second half, with Hisham’s close range effort being blocked by defence.
The Jordanians then thought they had equalised when Faisel beat South Korean stopper Gu Sung-yun in the 68th minute, but he was ruled offside.
The South Koreans now face tournament hosts Qatar in the final four.
