Highly sought-after forward Inaki Williams has ended speculation about his future at Athletic Bilbao by signing a new five-year contract with the club.
The 21-year-old striker has been attracting a lot of interest from the Premier League with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham all being linked to the player in recent weeks. Closer to home, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have also been reportedly tracking the player.
However, the new deal will see the player remain at the Basque club until 2021, or see them make a hefty profit off the player after the club revealed the contract came with a 50 million euro buyout clause.
"Athletic Club and Inaki Williams have signed a deal to renew the player's contract – until June 30, 2021," the club confirmed.
The Spain under-21 international has already scored 10 goals in all competitions this season and has been identified as one of the brightest young talents in Europe.
