Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Alexis Sanchez is fit once again, but admits he will have to decide whether or not to risk the star against Stoke City.
The Chile international has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since November last year, but has returned to training in recent weeks.
Wenger, though, remains unsure whether he should take a gamble with Sanchez’s fitness when the Gunners face Stoke on Sunday.
“The question mark is about Sanchez, he has two decisive days – Friday and Saturday,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“He is fit and has worked very hard. The decision we have to take is whether to take a gamble on his injury.”
Wenger is also hopeful Sanchez’s return, along with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck, can spur the Gunners on in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
“At the moment we are in the beginning of January, top of the league, qualified in the Champions League, still in the FA Cup, so we can make it a fantastic season,” he added.
“The fact we have the injuries coming back can help.”
