BVB Dortmund forward Ciro Immobile has returned to former club Torino on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to making his stay permanent.
Immobile left Torino to sign for Dortmund in the summer of 2014, and went on to make 34 appearances in all competitions, scoring ten times.
However, he was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Thomas Tuchel at the start of the 2015/16 season, and spent the first half of the campaign on loan at La Liga outfit Sevilla. He made just 15 appearances for the Spanish outfit, scoring four times.
Commenting on his return to Torino, Immobile told the club's official website: "I am so happy, I can't wait to be at the disposal of the coach and my team-mates.
"I thank president Urbano Cairo, director Gianluca Petrachi and the whole club for putting their faith in me again.
"I also want to thank the fans for the welcome at the airport. I didn't expect it, which made the whole thing, even more, wonderful.
"I return to Toro with huge enthusiasm, find a group of friends and bring my desire to do well for a prestigious shirt that gave me so much joy."
