Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc gave Olympique Lyonnais credit for a hard-fought encounter in their 2-1 Coupe de Ligue quarter-final victory on Wednesday.
Adrien Rabiot opened the scoring for the Parisians after 17 minutes at the Parc des Princes, with Corentin Tolisso equalising just before halftime and Lucas Moura striking in the 73rd minute to take PSG through.
“We can be happy with this performance between two good sides that gave it everything,” Blanc said. “It was perhaps the bench that made the difference, but Lyon had an excellent bench tonight as well.
“They could have qualified as well because it was very tight. It was a good game, good intensity and lots of chances for both teams.”
PSG are now set to face Toulouse in the semi-final on Wednesday the 27th, with Blanc saying “we know them very well. I wanted to play at home and that’s what we got. It’s a definite advantage.”
