Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has revealed the Ligue 1 club will not be recalling injured striker Radamel Falcao from his loan stay with Chelsea.
The Colombia international has failed to impress since his season-long switch to Stamford Bridge at the start of this season, and has not featured since October after picking up a thigh injury.
The forward was back in Monaco this week to undergo further checks on the problem, but the principality club have moved swiftly to insist he will be back in England to see out the remainder of his loan stay.
Vasilyev told Monaco’s DailyMotion page: “Falcao is currently injured. He has six to eight weeks to go like that.
“We have decided not to take him back to Monaco for the moment.”
