Bayern München manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he will make a decision on his future next week.
Guardiola’s current contract with the Bundesliga club expires at the end of the ongoing season and there has been mounting speculation that the 44-year-old could become the manager of Manchester United or Manchester City.
"Tonight, I have no answer. Next week there will be clarity," Guardiola told reporters after Bayern’s 1-0 win over Darmstadt in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday.
Guardiola also took the opportunity to laud his side for progressing to the DFB-Pokal quarter-finals, which occurred courtesy of midfielder Xabi Alsonso’s superb strike in the 40th minute.
"I am proud of my team," Guardiola added. "We only have 13 players left and we are tired. But we did well. We started the match well, with great attitude."
