Vidal relishing Juventus clash

Bayern München midfielder Arturo Vidal is looking forward to their Champions League clash with former club Juventus, but admits he would've preferred to play them in the final.

The draw for the Champions League round of 16 was made on Monday and pitted the German champions with their Italian counterparts, Vidal's former employers.

Vidal was a key member of the Juve side that made it to the final of last year's tournament before making the switch to Bayern in July.

While the Chile international is looking forward to taking on the Bianconeri in Europe's premier club competition, he admits he is wary of them after somewhat of a resurgence in recent weeks.

After a poor start to the season, the Turin outfit have lost just two of their last 15 games in all competitions and have moved up to fourth place in the Serie A standings, in striking distance of Inter at the top.

"They are very strong. They had a few teething problems at the start of the season, but that was to be expected because they changed many players," he told Bild. "I would have preferred [to have played them] in the final."

Another player who is looking forward to the match is Kingsley Coman, who is actually still owned by Juventus, but is at Bayern on a two-year loan deal.

"It will be a great match," he said. "I am looking forward to it, I came to Bayern to play in these great games."
